Sending a chat message during a webinar

With in-webinar chat, you can send a public chat to all webinar staff in the meeting, or a private chat to individual webinar staff. Chat allows hosts, cohosts, and panelists to communicate privately.

Sending a public chat

  1. During a webinar, click the Chat button in the bottom menu. 
  2. Click the With hosts and panelists tab.

  1. Enter your message in the field at the bottom of the screen, then hit return.

Sending a private chat

  1. During a webinar, click the Chat button in the bottom menu. 
  2. Click the Privately tab, then use the Chat with field to search for the person you want to chat with.

  1. Alternatively, you can go to Participants, then click the name of the person you want to chat with.
  2. Enter your message in the field at the bottom of the screen, then hit return.

Downloading webinar chat

After the webinar has ended, you can download a transcript of your webinar chat. 
  1. During a webinar, click Chat in the bottom menu. 
  2. Click the download button, then slide the toggle to turn on Always download chat after webinar.
  3. After the webinar, the RingCentral app will automatically download a TXT file of the webinar chat.
