Using panelist in-webinar controls in the RingCentral mobile app

As a panelist in a webinar, you’ll have access to a variety of in-webinar controls so you can facilitate your meetings efficiently. The in-webinar audio, video, and screen share controls you have will depend on the permissions allowed by the webinar host.

  • Information: Displays the webinar’s subject, the names of the host and cohost(s), and a list of panelists.
  • Connection: Shows your device’s network quality.
  • Speaker: Tap to switch your audio output device to any of the following: speakerphone, phone's internal speakers, Bluetooth, or wired headset.
  • Q&A: Tap to open the Question and Answer window. Read about participating in Q&A as a panelist.  
  • Polls: Tap to view and participate in polls.
  • Chat: Tap to send a message to hosts and panelists.
  • Leave: Tap to leave the webinar.
  • Mute: If the host allowed you permission to turn on/off audio, tap to mute or unmute your audio. 
  • Start Video: If the host allowed you permission to turn on/off video, you can tap to turn your device’s front camera on or off. 
  • Share: If the host allowed you permission to screen share, tap to share your screen, or to turn on and share your device’s rear camera. 
  • Participants: Tap to view the list of hosts, panelists, and attendees.
  • More: Tap to access the following:
    • Disconnect audio: Tap to disconnect your audio and choose how to join: Use internet audio, Dial in, Call me or Continue without audio.
    • Virtual background: Tap to select from a list of virtual backgrounds or to add/upload a virtual background from your device’s photo and video library. 
    • Settings: Tap to configure how long it takes to hide the webinar toolbar controls. You can tap the screen to hide the toolbar, or opt for it to disappear automatically after an idle time of between five seconds and five minutes. If you select Never automatically hide, you need to tap the screen to hide webinar controls.   
    • Send feedback: Tap to report a problem or to give feedback about your webinar experience. 
    • Submit feature idea: Tap to submit feature and improvement ideas directly to RingCentral’s product team.
