The RingCentral Video network connection and CPU usage show the network connection details and the CPU usage during a RingCentral Video meeting. The network connection information includes packet loss and jitter for sharing, video, and audio for upstream and downstream media streams. It also shows latency, which is measured for both upstream and downstream and is the same value for both.

Clicking Diagnose issues redirects to the RingCentral Network Test service where you can diagnose network conditions.

If you want to see your connection status, hover over the signal icon via the bottom menu bar. In the pop-up window, you can see the recommended ranges.
 
The network indicators are:
  • Green: Good connection.
  • Orange: Weak connection.
  • Red: Poor connection.

Showing warning when CPU usage is high

If your CPU usage is medium or high, RingCentral Video will display a badge on the menu bar and the Participants window, which can guide you on how to improve video quality by reducing CPU usage.
 
The badge indicators are:
  • Yellow: CPU usage is medium.
  • Red: CPU usage is high.
Note: Mousing over the badge shows a tooltip explaining the warning.
