Factory resetting your deskphone

RingCentral regularly updates the configuration and certificates of devices used with the phone system. These updates help prevent service interruptions when older configurations and certificates expire.

RingCentral performs remote updates on all supported devices. However, some phones can’t be reached and updated remotely. If a phone with outdated configuration or invalid certificates can’t be updated, it will lose key functionality, including the ability to make and receive calls.

To fix this issue, you’ll need to factory reset your phone and then set it up to work with RingCentral’s system.
