Turning off a participant's video in RingCentral Video

The host or moderator can turn off the video camera of attendees to prevent them from distracting the meeting. In addition, hosts can decide whether to allow participants to have the ability to turn on/off their video cameras.

Turning off the video of all participants

  1. Tap Participants via the bottom menu bar.
  2. Tap the three-dot icon at top right.
  3. Select and tap one of the following options:

  • Disable video - allow enabling: All participants’ videos are disabled but they can enable themselves.
  • Disable video - block enabling: All participants’ videos are disabled and participants cannot enable themselves.
  • Enable video for all: All participants will be notified to allow moderator to turn on camera. They will have an option to tap Don’t Allow or Allow.

Turning off the video of individual attendees

To turn on/off the camera of individual attendees during a meeting, tap Participants via the bottom menu bar, and then tap the camera icon to the right of the attendee’s name.
