Enabling or disabling software audio processing
Open the RingCentral Rooms controller app.
Go to Settings > Audio.
Enable or disable the Software audio processing toggle switch. This option is disabled by default.
Note: In order to get better audio quality and to reduce echo, adjust this feature accordingly following the conditions below:
Disable it if the speaker(s) and mic have hardware audio processing.
Enable it if the speaker(s) and mic do not have hardware audio processing.
Selecting or changing a device
You can change the audio input and output device when the room is idle or even during a meeting.
Go to Settings > Audio.
Tap the device name and select the other devices available.
Your specified device will become the preferred device. If it’s disconnected by accident, RingCentral Rooms will automatically switch to the next available system default device or display an error message.
Adjusting your volume
Move the slider to adjust the volume for the microphone and speaker. After the device volumes are all set, you can run some basic audio tests.
Microphone: Speak into the microphone and ensure that the Level bar reaches the volume setting.
Speaker: Click Play test sound and verify that the sound is played from the intended speaker device.
