Completing the end user Know Your Customer (KYC) process for assigned phone numbers

To comply with regulations from the India Department of Telecommunications, all Global RingEX Select India users with an assigned Indian number are required to complete an automated Know Your Customer (KYC) process.

We recommend using a mobile device to complete the process, as you’ll need to take and submit a selfie.

Note
If you’re an admin, you need to complete the Know Your Business process to set up the account.

Use the following instructions to complete the end user KYC process.

Start the KYC process

When you sign in to your RingCentral account, you’ll be prompted to complete the KYC process if you haven’t already done so. 

Scan the QR code to open the KYC flow on your mobile device.

Provide consent

On the User Consent screen:

  1. Select Yes to provide consent.
  2. Enter the required company and user details.
  3. Tap Continue.

Verify your ID

On the ID Verification screen:

  1. Click the dropdown to Choose your preferred document for identity verification. The next screens depend on the document you select. A driving license is used in this example.
  2. Take a picture of the front and back of your ID document.
  3. Click Upload a File on the left and select the image of the front of your ID, then wait while the system processes it.
  4. Click Upload a File on the right and select the image of the back of your ID, then wait while the system processes it. The system will pre-process both images and automatically display them.
  1. Review the information to confirm that the details are correct.
  2. Tap Verify to continue. The system will validate the uploaded images and the information provided. If no issues are found, a summary screen showing your details and uploaded images will appear.
  3. Tap Continue.

Capture your selfie

You need to take a selfie in the final step of the process. Follow the on-screen tips to position your face correctly. When the system detects proper positioning, the camera button becomes active.

  1. Tap the Camera icon, then take your selfie.
  1. Wait while the system processes the image and compares it with your official document photo. To meet regulatory requirements, the system will capture additional details, like your physical location (latitude and longitude).
  2. Review the displayed information.
  3. When you’re ready, tap Submit to complete the KYC process.

You’ll receive a confirmation screen and email from RingCentral indicating that the process is complete.
