Upgrading RingCentral Meetings Room Connector to
RingCentral Room Connector

Last updated on February 14, 2023

Table of contents

Once your account has been upgraded, you’ll receive the same number of RingCentral Room Connector licenses that you had for RingCentral Meetings Room Connector.

Admin tasks

1. Verify your security settings and network configuration

Your systems must comply with our network requirements.

2. Set up One-Touch Dial (optional for Polycom customers only)

Polycom customers can use One-Touch Dial to make it easier for users to join RingCentral Video meetings.

User tasks

If you currently have a RingCentral Meetings Room Connector, you’ll migrate over to RingCentral Room Connector. Your company admins will perform most of the required steps for this migration, but you’ll need to do a few things for your meetings to run smoothly.

Move your previously scheduled meetings to RingCentral Video

To ensure you don’t lose important meetings, you’ll need to update any recurring meetings to include SIP join details. Rescheduling your RingCentral Video meetings will automatically include SIP join details.
