Live transcription is the process by which speech or audio is converted into a written text document. This feature is available on the RingCentral desktop and mobile app.
Notify participants once the live transcription starts.
Note: Only hosts or moderators can start or pause the live transcription. Participants will not see the live transcription until the host or moderators start it.
While in a meeting, tap the More icon and then tap Start transcription.
Once the live transcription starts, you will be redirected to the Transcript page. You can tap the left-pointing arrow at top left to go back to the main meeting screen.
On the main meeting screen, a red note icon will appear if a live transcription is in progress.
To resume viewing the transcript, tap the More icon, and then tap View transcript.
Note: If you are using an iPad, the live transcription will appear on the right side of the screen.
Pausing and starting a live transcription
Tap the Pause icon at top right to pause the transcription. To resume transcription, tap Start.
Searching for keywords in a live transcription
To search for a specific conversation, type in the keyword in the search bar. By default, the live transcription will initially display the most recent text transcribed. You can scroll at the top of the screen to load the full transcript.
Configuring live transcription settings
To configure live transcription settings, tap the Gear icon at top right, then modify settings as desired.
