Why can’t I share a connected device during a
meeting in RingCentral Rooms for Poly?

Issue
If a user has a third-party device (i.e., DVD player) connected to the HDMI input of the Poly X30/X50, there is no option to send the audio and video stream from the device to the rest of the meeting participants.

Cause
This function is not supported. The current Device Mode can only synchronize the data from the computer to the TV/monitor via HDMI, and the RNG application does not capture the HDMI data from another device.
