RingCentral Video desktop, web, and mobile

Stay up to date with the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes for RingCentral Video desktop, web, and mobile.
Release date: September 2025
What's new
  • New annotations (Desktop, web, and mobile): Highlight key points with new annotation tools that let you draw lines, shapes, and add text over shared content, helping participants stay focused on what matters most. Annotations now remain visible until you clear them.
  • Augmented Reality annotations (Mobile):  Annotate directly over real-world objects during mobile meetings by drawing lines, shapes, or text. Ideal for technical support, on-site guidance, or highlighting key items through a live camera view.
  • Improved sharing experience (Desktop, Web): Viewers now see more of the shared content with a slimmer control bar and a one-click option to hide participant video tiles. This makes it easier to focus on detailed presentations, documents, or design work.
  • Quick actions on video tiles (Desktop, Web, Mobile): Access key participant controls like chat, mute, or rename directly from the video tile, making it easier to manage participants without having to navigate to the participant list.
  • User Onboarding (Desktop): First-time users now get a step-by-step in-app guide to help them start and join video meetings with ease. This reduces setup confusion and ensures users can get started without requiring IT support. - Currently in limited rollout
  • Expert Led Tutorials (Desktop): Live, expert-led tutorials help users get up to speed faster—reducing confusion and cutting down on IT support. Users can register in one click from the desktop app to learn how to schedule, join, and run video meetings. - Currently in limited rollout
  • Simplified In-app scheduler (Desktop, Mobile): Create a link or launch your preferred calendar to schedule — no in-app setup needed, just faster scheduling with your saved preferences. - Currently in limited rollout
  • Sharper video quality with VP9 (Desktop, web, and mobile): Meetings now deliver clearer, more stable video while using less bandwidth. This improves the experience for users on limited networks without compromising quality.
  • Enhanced audio quality (Desktop, mobile): Customers now experience clearer and more consistent speech in meetings, thanks to advanced DRED audio compression that restores sound in real time even under poor network conditions or high packet loss.
