Setting up a meeting password in RingCentral Meetings helps secure your meeting and limits unintented participants from joining. People who want to join using other methods other than the meeting invite URL will be prompted to enter a password before they can successfully join the meeting.
When the meeting invite is generated with the password enabled, a long character string is added to the meeting URL which embeds the password automatically. Participants who use the meeting URL with the embedded password string will no longer be prompted to enter the password. The meeting password is displayed in the generated email invite:

1. Log in to RingCentral Meetings.
2. Click
Schedule

3. Under
Meeting Options
, tick the
Require meeting password
checkbox.
4. Enter your desired password on the space provided. Max length is
10
characters.
5. Click

.
Set up password for your Personal Meeting ID (PMI)
You can also set up a password for meetings held using your PMI. This can be the same or different from the password used for scheduled meetings.
1. Log in to RingCentral Meetings.
2. Click
Meetings
.
3. On the top portion where your Personal Meeting ID is displayed, click
Edit
.
4. Under
Meeting Options
, tick the
Require meeting password
checkbox.
5. Enter your desired password on the space provided. Max length is
10
characters.
6. Click
Save
.
