23. Is RingCentral Video HIPAA compliant?
To better serve our customers in the highly regulated healthcare industry, RingCentral has implemented HIPAA security safeguards. We annually undergo a third-party SOC 2+ audit—which includes an assessment of controls mapped to the HIPAA Security Rule requirements, demonstrating the implementation of the security safeguards and conditions outlined in the HIPAA Security Rule. RingCentral offers HIPAA Business Associate Agreements to covered entities. RingCentral Video is included under the covered services of our Business Associate Agreement (BAA). RingCentral Video can be offered to healthcare customers that are subject to HIPAA. For any such customers, RingCentral will act as a Business Associate and comply with HIPAA obligations accordingly. Please note that any customers subject to HIPAA and using RingCentral Video to create, receive, transmit, or maintain PHI need to request a BAA from RingCentral. Customers’ own BAAs are not accepted.
