Engage Voice | System requirement specifications

You’ll find our recommended system requirement specifications for the RingCentral Engage Voice platform below. The recommendations include guidelines for both admins and agents.

Browser

To log in and use the RingCentral Engage Voice platform, you’ll need to download/install the latest stable version of the browsers listed below. It is always best to keep your browser up to date as these browsers are updated regularly.

Admins

System

Admins and agents should meet the minimum operating system requirements for their computers.
  • Operating System: Any operating system that will support the above browsers 
  • System memory: 4GB or more
  • Processor: 2.5 Ghz Dual-Core Intel or AMD

Screen resolution

Admins and agents should meet the minimum screen resolution requirements for their computer screens.

Minimum requirements for admins and agents

  • 1024 x 768 pixels (1280 x 768 and above recommended)

Connectivity and bandwidth

  • At least 10/100 Mbps wired ethernet connection. Wireless connectivity is not supported.
  • IPv6 protocol must disabled on any applicable network interfaces.
  • For voice traffic, at least 128 Kbps of dedicated bandwidth per agent, upstream/downstream. Note: This does not account for data traffic.
  • All customer sites and points of network connectivity must utilize enterprise-grade network circuits with an associated Service Level Agreement and Support Contract from the ISP (Internet Service Provider). Residential grade network circuits and circuits without a support contract are not supported.

Firewall rules and standard whitelisting requirements

Unless web services, SIP trunks or FTP jobs are configured for your account. You should not have to include any inbound traffic rules with RingCentral Engage Voice for your firewall. All the below rules are regarding outbound traffic from your site to Engage Voice.
 
Note: Allow all outbound UDP 3478 and 19302 for STUN. Not just for the above IPs, but all IPs. RingCentral utilizes publicly available STUN servers with public IP addresses that can change over time.
