Agent scripting elements: Nested Page View
The Nested Page View element can be used to insert a script page within a script page. This can be useful if you’d like all the information on a certain page to duplicate itself across one or more pages in your script.
Think of the main Nested Page View as a ‘background’ page of sorts. Everything you put on this page will show up as the ‘background’ of every subsequent page in your script. You can add as many elements as you like to this page, but it’s probably a good idea to keep it simple, especially if the subsequent pages have a fair amount of content on them already.
Say you’d like to display your company’s basic information (company name, address, and telephone number) on the bottom of every page in your script, so that no matter where agents are in the script flow, they can always have that information easily at hand without having to move to another page to find it.
To achieve this, you can create a main nested page that has all your company information on it, and then you can add a Nested Page View element to the top of the page — this will serve as a ‘container’ of sorts. It will ‘contain’ all the information that’s located on each subsequent page, respectively.

So when the agent is on Page Two in the script, all of the information that’s on Page Two will be contained in that Nested Page View element you placed at the top of your main nested page, and the agent will be able to see all of that plus the company info ‘background’ you added earlier.
Remember, all the information on every subsequent page is going to have to fit in the Nested Page View element you created at the top of your main page; be sure to size the element and/or edit your subsequent pages accordingly! Otherwise, agents might find themselves scrolling around within the Nested Page View element to find all the information they need. You can test your nested page functions by using the Render setting and clicking through each page to ensure all your information fits properly.

To nest a script page within another script page, follow the steps below.
1. Create the pages you’d like to nest
2. Link all the necessary tools together
3. Click into the Edit menu of the page you wish to duplicate across all subsequent pages
4. Select the Nested Page View element from the Add Element dropdown menu, place it on the page, and adjust its size and placement as needed
5. Navigate to the element’s configuration settings and choose a View Name
6. Select the subsequent page you wish to nest from the element’s Select a nested page dropdown menu setting
7. Click Save & close to close the modal window
8. Back on your script canvas, click the connecting line between the page you just added the Nested Page View element to and the next tool connected to it (you should see the line change to dashes and display the phrase Nested View)
9. Don’t forget to save your changes!
Please note that in order for this element to work properly, you must click the connecting line that points to the next script page you wish to nest. If no connecting lines have been identified as nested view connections, then you won’t see any page options appear in the Select a nested page dropdown menu and your nested elements won’t appear on subsequent pages.
This is how your script will look once you’ve clicked on the connecting line to the page you wish to nest:
And once you’ve clicked that line, the Nested Page View element’s dropdown menu will populate with the name of that subsequent nested tool.
Configuration
Use the Nested Page View Configuration tab to select the page you wish to nest and name the Nested Page View.
- View Name: Choose a name for your Nested Page View
- Select a nested page: Choose a subsequent page to nest from the dropdown menu here. Remember, you must first click the line connecting to the page you wish to nest or your dropdown menu will remain empty. See above for details
