What is RingCentral Webinar?

A webinar is a web-based seminar organized and hosted by individuals who want to broadcast information to a large audience in real-time. RingCentral Webinar is a next-generation product that makes it simple for:
  • Host to reach up to 10,000 attendees and 100 cohosts and panelists, including the host. 
  • Hosts organize and run webinars using only the RingCentral desktop app.
  • Attendees to join the webinar on any device, using any browser, using RingCentral Rooms, or through our RingCentral apps, without the need to download any software. 
  • Hosts, cohosts, and panelists to send audio and video and screen share with just a few clicks.

How is RingCentral Webinar different from an online video meeting?

While webinars appears to be similar to online video meetings, there are key differences:

What are the roles in a RingCentral Webinar?

There are four roles in a webinar: host, cohost, panelist, and attendee. Learn more.

Why should I use RingCentral Webinar?

Unlike RingCentral Meetings Webinar, RingCentral Webinar makes it easier for hosts to schedule and manage all webinars with just a few clicks in the RingCentral app.
 
RingCentral Webinar also allows attendees to join a webinar in any desktop or mobile browser without having to download the RingCentral app.

Are RingCentral Webinar and RingCentral Meetings Webinar the same?

No. RingCentral Webinar is a next-generation webinar experience, while RingCentral Meetings Webinar is our legacy webinar offering.

Can I use both RingCentral Webinar and RingCentral Meetings Webinar simultaneously?

No. You can only use one product or the other at any given time. Your company admin will configure which product you have access to as a user. If you are a company admin, assign the RingCentral Meetings or RingCentral Video platform for your users.

How do I purchase RingCentral Webinar for my company employees?

RingCentral Webinar is currently in Beta testing and can’t be purchased yet. Request Beta access here.

Can I purchase RingCentral Webinar as a stand-alone service?

No. RingCentral Webinar is an add-on service. You need to have a RingEX Standard, Premium, or Ultimate plan.

What RingEX plans are supported?

All RingEX Plans, except Essentials, are supported.

How do RingCentral Webinar licenses work?

You need a license for every user who plans to schedule and manage webinars (a Webinar host). Once you have your licenses, you can easily assign users within the Admin Portal.

Do I need RingCentral Webinar licenses for cohosts, panelists, and attendees?

No. Only Webinar hosts require licenses. Webinar cohosts, panelists, and attendees do not need licenses to join webinars. 

Can multiple people share a RingCentral Webinar license?

No. However, as an admin, you can reassign a license from one user to another. Learn how.

How do I delete a license?

Contact RingCentral Support to have a license deleted.

What are the system capacity limits for RingCentral Webinar?

  • Each webinar can have one host and up to 99 additional cohosts and panelists. 
  • The number of attendees able to join a webinar depends on your Webinar license. License options range from 100, 500, 1000,3000, 5,000, or 10,000 seats.
  • A Webinar host can schedule an unlimited number of webinars, but only three can run simultaneously.

How do I use RingCentral Webinar as a host?

Once you have a license, you’ll receive an email guiding you to access RingCentral Webinar using your RingCentral desktop app. When you sign in to your app, you’ll see the Webinar icon in the left-hand navigation. Learn more.

How can I report an issue?

You can report an issue either during or after your webinar. To report an issue during the webinar, click on More > Send Feedback. After the webinar, use the feedback form. Be sure to include the link you used to join the webinar. 

How do I request a feature improvement or new feature to RingCentral Webinar?

You can submit feature improvements or new feature requests during a webinar by clicking More > Submit feature idea to open the Customer Ideas Portal. You can also go directly to the RingCentral Ideas Portal on your web browser.
