Installing the Controller App for iPad

With RingCentral Rooms, you can set up an iPad or Android controller and connect it to your host device. First, however, you must install the RingCentral Rooms software on your controller. 
 
To run RingCentral Rooms, your device must meet the following requirements:
  • iPad: iOS 12 and above
  • Android: Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0" and 10.5") with Android 7.0 and above
It is also recommended that you connect both the host and controller equipment into the same network for optimal performance. See RingCentral Rooms System Requirements for more information.

Downloading and installing RingCentral Rooms on an iPad controller

  1. On the iPad, open the web browser and go to https://service.ringcentral.com.
  2. Log in to your RingCentral online account as an admin.
  3. Click Meetings via the top bar, then select RingCentral Video if you have access to both RingCentral Meetings and RingCentral Video settings.
  4. Click Downloads from the left pane.
  5. Click the Download on App Store link and install the RingCentral Rooms controller app.

Downloading and installing RingCentral Rooms on an Android controller

A stand-alone app for RingCentral Rooms on an Android controller will be released soon. In the meantime, you can use your Android phone as a controller using the RingCentral mobile app. Read Using your mobile phone as a RingCentral Rooms controller in the RingCentral mobile app to learn more. 
 
Note: This works on both Android and iOS.
