RingCentral Rooms system requirements

NOTE: This article is referencing hardware exclusively related to RingCentral Video Rooms. Some of the mentioned devices do not work with RingCentral Meetings Rooms.
 
Admins can choose one of two hardware setups based on their capacity needs. For a full list of recommended setups, visit RingCentral Rooms recommended setups.
  • Room appliance kit (recommended): A bar with a built-in computer, camera, microphone and speaker, and separate controller.
  • Room kit:
    • Separate computer, controller, controller console, camera, microphone, and speaker, or 
    • Bar with a built-in camera, microphone, and speaker.

Upgrade to Mac Mojave, if the OS version is lower.

Windows
Upgrade to Windows 10 (SAC version 1909 and above, LTSC version 1809), if the OS version is lower.

  • • 16GB (2x8GB) 2933 MHz DDR4 Memory
  • • Dell Optiplex 5080 Micro
  • • Intel NUC 11 Pro Mini PC
Controller
iPad
  • • Upgrade to iOS 12, if the OS version is lower.
  • • Upgrade to iPad 2017, if the model is lower.
  • • Storage larger than 700 MB
Android
Upgrade to Android 6 or above.

Recommended hardware:
  • • Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0" and 10.5")
Licenses
RingCentral
A RingCentral account with admin access and Rooms license(s).
Microsoft
Microsoft O365 or Google account for Rooms Calendar access.
