RingCentral AI Receptionist

Stay up to date with the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes for RingCentral AI Receptionist.
Release date: July 27, 2026

What's New

  • Lead capture improvements: Introduced historical lead records for returning callers to provide more context about who is calling. You can also set up email notifications for leads stored in RingCentral, so recipients are alerted when a new lead is captured.
  • Spam detection: Your AIR can now detect and block spam and robocalls automatically. Admins can adjust the detection sensitivity and choose whether silent, echo, and telemarketing calls are disconnected or transferred to a receptionist. You can also review every blocked call in the block log, report numbers as spam, and add trusted numbers to an allow list.
  • Test call during setup: When creating an AI Receptionist, you can now place a test call directly during the setup flow to hear how the receptionist will answer before going live.
  • Connect AIR during setup: A new step was added at the end of the setup process so admins can choose which phone numbers and company call handling rules will route calls to the AI Receptionist before completing the wizard. This is available only for single-site accounts.
  • New Channels page: Number and call handling assignments have moved from the Connect page to a new Channels section in your AIR’s profile.
  • AIR usage notifications on by default: Notifications for AIR minute usage are now turned on by default, so admins can track usage without changing any settings.
