Engage Voice | Configuring pre-built widgets

Once you’ve added widgets to your Real-Time dashboard, you can start configuring them. Here we’ll discuss how to configure pre-built widgets.  
As we discussed in Intro to Real-Time reporting, there are six categories of pre-built widgets. Configuring a pre-built widget means that you can choose from a predetermined list of categories to decide which columns of data appear in a widget. You can also customize settings like how often the widgets refresh.

How to configure a pre-built widget

If you are configuring a widget immediately after adding it to the dashboard, be sure you have clicked the blue Save button. If not, you will be unable to access your configuration options. 
When you’re ready to configure a pre-built widget, follow the steps below. 
1. Click on the Analytics app icon upon log in. You’ll be directed to Real-Time dashboards.
2. Click on the More icon in the upper right-hand corner of the widget you want to configure (Note that if this More icon is not visible, it’s probably because you have not saved your most recent additions to the dashboard).

3. Choose Configure Widget from the list of options to reveal the Visible Columns tab in the configuration window.
4. Be sure all boxes are checked for the categories of information you want your widget to include (Note that all categories are preselected by default).
5. Click on the Chart Settings tab to reveal additional settings.
6. Enter a number in the Refresh Timeout field (Note that the minimum amount of time is five seconds).
7. Enter a number in the Max Records field.
8. Click the blue Ok button to close the configuration window.
9. Repeat steps 2-8 for each additional widget you want to configure on the same dashboard.
