The following features are being released as part of the 21.3.4 August Release.
- Instagram Messaging: Beta availability, improved the story display, supported Instagram Messaging Ice Breakers
- Engineering Improvements: The 21.3.4 August Release includes various improvements, including bug fixes and performance of Engage Digital software.
Instagram Messaging
- Instagram Messaging Beta
Engage Digital support for Instagram Messaging channel is now available in Beta. This integration supports a full range of capabilities for the channel allowing end customers to send messages to enterprises over private messaging conversations, pulling messages from Stories, mentions and bot integrations. Interested customers please reach out to your Account Manager to learn more about this channel.
As a part of the Beta release, we have made improvements to Instagram Story display and support for Ice Breakers to make it feature complete
- Improved the Story Display
Unlike posts on Instagram, stories are not permanent and will disappear after 24 hours. Responses can reference other messages in the story which can be helpful in an interaction.
- Support for Instagram Messaging Ice Breakers
- Engage Digital now supports the IG Ice Breakers feature which provides a way for users to easily start a conversation with a business by selecting from a list of questions or topics (See Fig 1). Support of this feature further enhances messaging experience, helps streamline the conversation and provide faster resolution to customer issues.
