RingCentral web app

Version 24.4.20 (Release date: November 2024)

  • Auto display Google Drive links: When pasting a Google Drive URL or Doc into a message in the desktop app, you’ll be promoted to connect to your Google account. Once connected, the file type and name will be displayed in an easy-to-read format.

RingCentral Rooms

Version 24.4.20, Android/Windows (Release date: November 14, 2024)

  • Notification when the host and controller are not on the same network: The IT admin and users are notified when the Rooms host and Controller aren’t connected to the same local network. The IT admin can then adjust the network to optimize Rooms performance.
  • Support for 540p video resolution: RingCentral Rooms now supports low-resolution (540p) video to improve the viewer experience for Webinar attendees experiencing poor network connections.

  • Org level analytics: Offers a dashboard designed to provide organizations comprehensive insights into their events' performance. This feature enables users to track and analyze key metrics over time, helping to drive strategic decisions and improve future event outcomes.
  • New email dashboard & analytics
    New enhancements:
    1. New Email Dashboard: We combined "Customize Emails" and "Email Attendees" into one streamlined tab.
    2. Improved Email Editor: Now with a real-time preview beside the editor for smoother updates
    3. Email Analytics: View delivery and open rate data for each email, with downloadable logs in .csv format
  • Session improvements for speakers
    • Virtual backgrounds: Speakers can select a virtual background, and can upload their own custom backgrounds. They can also use the “touch-up” and “soft light” (better light for Speakers’ faces) filters if they’d like to change their appearance when on screen.
    • Pro sound settings: Speakers who have professional microphones can use this feature in order to disable all sound processing in Events. This will turn off browser sound processing, but also the noise canceling functionality. 
  • Clips saved during video editing: Clips drafts are now saved between editing sessions for easier editing. You can save your progress and return whenever you need to export the finalized clips. New clips are now also created from where the cursor currently is in the video.
