RingCentral Video

Version 24.2.10 (Release date: April 2024)

  • Invite by Video Call: RingCentral Video now support invites via video call. When participants are waiting for another user, they can call them, and users can join with a click. There's no need to share a link or meeting ID and wait for the users to read the message.
  • Full HD (1080p) support: RingCentral Video now supports Full HD cameras for both incoming and outgoing videos. If your computer and camera can provide Full HD (1080p) quality video, you can now appear in the highest quality meetings.

RingCentral Rooms

Version 24.2.10 (Release date: April 18, 2024)

  • Control Rooms meeting settings from the Admin Portal: You can now control Room meeting settings remotely from the Admin Portal and manage the settings on the room controller. The settings will be synced no matter where you change them.
  • Share your screen using Inogeni and Logitech capture devices: You can now connect your laptop to the Rooms system computer to share your screen using an Inogeni 4K2USB3 or Logitech HDMI capture device.

RingCentral Webinar

Version 24.2.10 (Release date: April 2024)

  • Allow attendees to speak/Request to speak: A feature allowing Hosts/Co-hosts to enable attendees to speak during webinars, enhancing engagement. Attendees can also raise their hands to request to talk, which hosts can approve with the 'Allow request to speak' option.
  • Smart Translation: We provide a translation feature to enhance the Q&A functionality in webinars. It allows users to post and view questions and answers in their preferred language and auto-translate them for other participants using a deep learning-based translation service

RingCentral Events

Sessions recordings now include engagement features

Organizers that use engagement features in Sessions (Raise Hand, Polls on screen, Video reactions, Screen share, YouTube sharing etc.) will now see all these features in the recordings.

Chat and Engagement .csv reports updates

We have made changes to two of our reports. The details are available below, and on our blog post.

Chat Report

Previously our Chat Report did not include replies to comments. The new version is going to change that. The report CSV currently contains the following columns: time, email, first_name, last_name, text.

With the new release it will contain the following columns: Time, Email, First Name, Last Name, Headline, Country, Ticket Type, Level, Text, Reaction Count.

The Level field will either contain top or reply as its value.

Engagement Report

The report gains two new columns added to the right of the existing ones. The columns are called Chat Replies and Poll Answers. They contain the number of replies sent by the attendee and the number of poll answers given by the attendee respectively.

Raise hand in Sessions

Release date: April 2, 2024

Speakers who are sharing audio and video can Raise Hand when they want to talk, and they can Lower Hand once they’ve had a chance to do so, or if they want to simply cancel their request.

Sessions Moderators can choose to disable this functionality if they don’t want attendees to use it, by using the Host Controls > Attendee Engagement menu.

RingSense for Sales

RingSense for RingEX

Release date: April 4, 2024

Introduced the following features: 

  • Closed captions: RingCentral Phone calls now support closed captions for accessibility needs of its users.
  • Live Transcription: RingCentral Phone calls now support live transcription, which can be started by recording the call. Phone users can follow along a conversation by viewing transcription during the call.
