What's New
These are the  21.4.2 October Release Notes. We may provide updates on features and enhancements for Engage Digital products as we get closer to the roll out date. 
 
RingCentral may update these Release Notes to document additional resolved and known issues.
 
This is the 21.4.2 October Release Note. 
 
The following feature is being released as part of the 21.4.2 October Release.
  • Engage Messaging: Webview Support
  • Salesforce: Lead Objects
Notice: Upcoming User impacting changes in 21.4.4 targeted for November 17, 2021.
  • Agent UI: Collapsed recipients view and a new design of attachments for the compose window in Inbox mode and inline compose in Routing mode
Upcoming User impacting changes in December 2021
  • Surveys: Changes in the API to get survey responses (/1.0/survey_responses/:id). There will be changes several fields:
    • Field "foreign_id" will be removed. You will be able to find this value in the "response_foreign_id" field.
    • Field "answers" will be removed. You can find the answers in the "questions" field
  • UI changes:
    • Gray background for the conversation area;
    • Orange line for the tasks where the last message is the customer one;
    • Updated view for attachments in the input area;
    • New icons associated with different actions in the audit log.
Engage Messaging: Webview Support
Engage Messaging Web now supports Webview to display web content (embedded via iFrame). This will allow businesses to streamline their conversations with customers and keep them within the Engage Messaging experience. 
 
Use case examples:
  1. For the travel industry, Webview can bring up a seat selector within the Engage Messaging experience for passengers looking to make/modify their bookings.
  2. For the banking/fintech/telecom industry, allow customers to authenticate within Engage Messaging before carrying out any transactions.
  3. For retail, bring up the 3rd party payment processor window to collect and process payment information, etc.
Engage Messaging: Webview Support
SalesForce: Leads objects
\We have enhanced our Salesforce integration to include Salesforce ‘Leads’ objects with Engage Digital. The RingCentral Engage Digital Salesforce app allows agents to respond to customers within Salesforce while accessing Engage Digital. This is particularly helpful when your support team isn’t only talking to customers but also prospects. Engage Digital will also indicate if a contact was previously a lead.

Engage Messaging
With this release, the Engage Digital Android SDK is now compatible with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS).  This feature enables users to receive notifications for message notifications for Engage Messaging on Huawei devices.
