This is the 22.2.4 May Release Note. We may provide updates on features and enhancements for Engage Digital products as we get closer to the roll out date.

The following features are being released as part of the 22.2.4 May Release.
  • Engage Digital Diaglogflow: Added Webview Support
  • Engage Admin: Updated the design of Chat/Messaging targeting rules list

Webhook Integration: Reduce webhook timeout to 10 seconds
  • Following future webhook management improvements, starting from Jun 1, 2022, we will reduce the timeout while waiting for the external server's response to accept the webhook from 15 seconds to 10 seconds.
Here are a couple of reminder notices:
  • Internet Explorer End of Support advisory
  • Microsoft has announced a June 15, 2022 End of Support for Internet Explorer browser for some operating systems. We recommend switching to another supported browser before this date if you are still connecting to Engage Digital with Internet Explorer.
  • Migration from basic authentication to OAuth 2.0 for email channels
  • Microsoft has announced the disabling of basic authentication starting from October 1, 2022 with the exception of SMTP Auth. For this reason, we highly recommend migrating to OAuth 2.0 authentication which is already supported in our email channels. The settings can be found here.
Engage Digital Diaglogflow: Added Webview Support
Webview Support is now available for Engage Digital Dialogflow. Engage Digital Dialogflow is an adapter that helps to easily connect Google Dialog Flow (Google's conversational AI technology) to RingCentral Engage Digital.

Engage Admin: Updated the design of Chat/Messaging Targeting Rules list
We have improved the design of the Chat/Messaging Targeting Rules list in response to requests from our users.
Currently, if the rule name does not fit the width of the column in the User Interface (UI), the text is displayed in ellipsis, which can sometimes make the description incomprehensible.
This update enhances the design of the UI by wrapping the text into the following line instead of using ellipsis,  providing for an improved user experience.

Webhook Integration: Error Notifications
Coming in the second part of Q2, in the event of a webhook error, we will automatically send a notification email to all users with "Manage API access tokens" permission. For the accounts that do not have users with this permission, this will be added to the Administrator’s role.  Please contact your Technical Account Manager if you do not consent to this change.
Engage Admin: User Interface (UI) enhancement to improve word-wrap for reply assistant
We have improved the word-wrap behavior for the name column content. Currently to prevent overflow, word breaks are inserted between any two characters. Word breaks are now inserted between 2 words (compared to any two characters) for reply assistant entry name in admin reply assistant listing.
This feature will benefit the customer by keeping words intact when scaling dynamically depending on the screen size and orientation of the responsive view.
